Same Qualification?
Many learners and their parents often assume that all driving schools and instructors are the same. After all, they’re all trained and qualified to help you pass your driving test, right? Keep reading to discover what sets us apart…
We're Different!
Many driving instructors operate as sole traders or proprietors, with no requirement for ongoing training, CPD, or adherence to best practice policies. In fact, some independent instructors never pursue further development beyond the day they qualify.
At Podium, we take a different approach. We ensure our instructors stay up to date with modern teaching methods and actively encourage continuous education and qualifications to maintain the highest standards.
In response to the challenges of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, we began training our own driving instructors. This initiative allowed us to recruit and develop the very best, focusing on teaching, coaching, mentoring, and unlocking their full potential.
Today, all of our in-house trained instructors have the opportunity to advance through our dedicated Instructor Training Academy, setting them apart and always working towards being leaders in the industry.
Client Centred Driving Lessons
Your driving lessons will follow the DVSA’s client-centred approach, ensuring an interactive and engaging experience. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to contribute to how your lessons progress, creating a personalised learning journey. This approach eliminates common frustrations, such as excessive time spent parked at the kerbside or aimless driving without clear lesson objectives.
We hope this has shed light on why driving lesson prices can vary significantly and why not all driving instructors are the same. While cheap lessons may seem appealing, especially on a tight budget, they often come with hidden costs—longer learning periods, slower progress, and the potential expense of failed tests requiring additional lessons. Investing in quality instruction from the outset can save you time, money, and frustration in the long run.
